Account
How to reset your password
- Go to the login page and click "Forgot Password".
- Enter the email address associated with your account.
- Check your inbox for a password reset link.
- Click the link and enter your new password.
- Log in with your new password.
How to update your account settings
- Log in to your dashboard.
- Navigate to "Settings" in the sidebar.
- Update your name, email, or other account details.
- Click "Save" to apply your changes.
Billing
How to upgrade your plan
- Log in to your dashboard.
- Navigate to "Billing" in the sidebar.
- You will see your current plan and available upgrades.
- Click "Upgrade" next to the plan you want.
- Complete the payment through Paystack.
- Your new plan takes effect immediately — no downtime.
How to downgrade your plan
- Log in to your dashboard.
- Navigate to "Billing" in the sidebar.
- Click "Change Plan" and select a lower tier.
- Your plan will change at the end of your current billing cycle.
- No data is lost when downgrading, but resource limits will adjust.
How to cancel your subscription
- Log in to your dashboard.
- Navigate to "Billing" in the sidebar.
- Click "Cancel Subscription".
- Your hosting remains active until the end of your current billing period.
- Download any backups before your plan expires.
Websites
How to deploy your first website
- Log in to your dashboard.
- Navigate to "Websites" and click "New Website".
- Connect your Git repository or upload your project files.
- Configure your build settings (framework, build command, etc.).
- Click "Deploy" — your site will be live within minutes.
How to add a custom domain
- Log in to your dashboard.
- Navigate to "Domains" in the sidebar.
- Click "Add Domain" and enter your domain name.
- Update your domain's DNS records to point to Bluebookhost (we provide the records).
- Wait for DNS propagation (usually under 1 hour).
- SSL is provisioned automatically once the domain resolves.
Backups
How to manage backups
- Log in to your dashboard.
- Navigate to "Backups" in the sidebar.
- View your backup history and schedule.
- To restore a backup, click "Restore" next to the backup you want.
- Confirm the restore — your site will be reverted to that backup.
